Story Notes:
The working title of this novel is “Magik”. Please, oh please, somebody
suggest something better.
Note the deliberate misspelling of “magik” in the working title and used sparingly throughout the work. It is meant to be neither “magic” nor “magick”, but a cross between the two. For the purposes of this story I needed an “older” form of the word, and didn't want to use either of the other two in order to distinguish it.
I didn't want to step on the turf of magick. This book is not meant to have any witchcraft, pagan, or Wiccan themes. If there are any, it's unintentional, since I admit to knowing nothing of these things, other than their existence.
The chapters are also quite short, so they may conglomerate later.
This story should be considered in the “pre-reading” phase, and is still evolving. I welcome all C&C. If you even see a comma out of place, please let me know! If the quote marks aren't showing up as proper open and closing quotes, let me know which browser and platform you're using and I'll see if I can help. If you're using Lynx, the quotes should gracefully become regular double quotes. You may find the PDF version on Windows and Mac, or the PostScript version on Linux or Unix like systems more readable if your browser doesn't support CSS correctly.
